July vs. August

Future Things...

Check out how my calendar looks for the month of July:

Look at all the pretty colors! We've been fairly busy, but our schedule for this month looks quite similar to the months that have gone before. Youth camps, holidays, vacations, various appointments, meetings with friends, visits to churches, family gatherings...these events have kept us busy for the past 15 years.

Now (drum roll please) behold my schedule for the month of August...

 

Weird!

I know each little square above will be colorfully decorated before long, but with what? For now we can only make educated guesses, but I take courage from a quote that was a favorite of my mom's:

"I don't know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future."

How comforting to know the One who directs our steps.

We joyfully follow Him in confidence, and entrust to Him all future things.
