Mid-term exams are over!

As the sun sets on a beautiful fall evening in here China, we are thankful that we have passed the mid-point of our semester in language school, and that each of us is keeping up well in class. No rest for the weary, though! We were assigned 40 new characters to memorize and learn to write by Friday!

With some extra time after we  finished our exams, one of our teachers showed us this clever music video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XTBwvi0h2E Anyone who has tried to learn a new language, and specifically Chinese, will relate! To understand the humor, keep in mind that the word, "shuijiao (pronounced-shway jow)" with different tones can mean either "to sleep" or "dumplings."
