Andersens in Asia...A Brief History

Our first visit to China in 2008

Fast-forward to 2012.
Kids get older, we get younger...amazing!

We lived with the Borisuks for a few weeks after our arrival.
Not a great photo, but it brings back memories of our journey
wheeling 18 suitcases from one apartment to the next in the

cool of the night.
Our first day of language school.
Look excited, everyone!

First class photo with Zhang Laoshi.

Red Rover is a favorite game of our English students and their families.

Here is our family (which is a can't-carry-a-tune-in-a-bucket kind of family)
singing a song in front of the whole school at a Christmas party.
What were we thinking???

Making new friends.

A winter visit from Jini. She's the kind of friend who still loves you
and has a great time even though you give her the flu.

After a long winter, these CA girls were pretty pale.
You could even say we were as pale as cherry blossoms...

So glad Ian was able to dust off his soccer skills and get back
to the game in China.

Summer flowers (and my finger) as seen from my bike in Olympic Park.
Taken before I knew that bikes aren't allowed in Olympic Park.

Our first year has gone whizzing by, and we still have so much to learn.
Praying we make the most of year two, by God's grace and for His glory!
