DEEEE duh WYYYY!

This might be my last chance to post for awhile. Tomorrow we begin to move into our new place and it may take a week or so to set up our phones and Internet. As lovely as it has been to live with the B's for a couple of weeks, we (the B's included) are all ready to unpack our suitcases and get settled.

Becoming acquainted with the newest little B, has been one of the delights of being together. She is an incredibly easy baby to be around, and sings her way through the day. We will miss her little voice belting out, "DEEEEE duhWYYYYY, DEEEEEEEEEE duh WYYYYY, ya-ya-ya-ya-yaaaaa DEEEEE duh WYYYY...." (Can you name that tune?)

The other day we were crossing a busy intersection, an endeavor that requires full concentration as we learn to be in sync with the different traffic patterns here. Personally, I was feeling a little out of my element...hot, a bit of an upset stomach, a little annoyed with the people behind the wheels of the oncoming cars....and there was little B, playing with her feet and belting out a tune from her stroller, "DEEEE duh DUH duh DEEEE duh DUUUUUUH DUUUUUH!" I took inspiration from her in that moment, and decided to sing (in my heart) rather than to complain.

Yesterday we were able to witness our first Chinese wedding! It was a very simple affair following the service, and we didn't understand a word, but I still shed a few tears as this beautiful young couple pledged to be faithful to one another.

The B's stayed for a reception and we took a cab back home and rode our bikes out to dinner. We found a yummy spot with an English name alongside the Chinese one, "Keep in Touch." And yes, it tasted as good as it looks!
