Our apartment's grimy windows needed a good washing after a summer of frequent rains, and Rodney decided that today was the day.
These windows weren't really designed with washing in mind, but my husband is blessed with a pair of really long arms, and when he uses a scrubber and a squeegee on a long pole he can reach out and get just about every place. Even so, he has to be content with some streaks and drips since he can't go back over any spots with a rag. What an improvement, though!
As we enjoyed the now crystal clear view on this crystal clear day (so thankful!), we thought back with a laugh to how naive we were when we first moved to this building. We asked our landlords, "So, how often does the management send someone around to wash the outside of the windows?" They looked at us as if to say, "How naive can you get?"
But speaking of windows, check out these photos that Ian took of a nearby building for his photography class:
I'll post again tomorrow, because we'll be taking some new photos when we go out later this evening to see the full moon and take in the sights of 中秋节, or Mid-Autumn Festival.
(Yes, it is mid-autumn already, according to the lunar calendar.)
